I did a speed workout at the soccer park.  I decided to do 1000, 1 mile, 1000, 1 mile, and then 1000.

This was on the grass, of course, as i have stated before, the distances are a bit long due to landmark start/stop points.

I was ok with the workout.  Short rest.

1000 = 3.46

1 mile = 5.55.  New PR.  i was 88, then 2.56, 3.09 after the loop, then 3.38 at the 1000, 4.42 at the 400 again.

1000 = 3.46

1 mile = This one hurt.  I was just trying to stay uptempo.  went through 800 in 3.10, wasn't pleased, and finished the next 800 in 3.02, for a 6.12

1000 = 3.40

Cheers

Mike

Strong work Mike. That grass will rob you a bit of energy rebound, but will also toughen your stabilizers. 2 weeks to USG?

Nah, there's never any wind, heat or altitude at that track meet.

I'm planning on Friday morning, just let me know. As for coaching advice... I suppose I could bring along a megaphone, and harass you with an unbroken stream of motivational quotes for 18 minutes of your 5k.
