I did the Larkspur 5 miler today, tried to pick it up a bit, ran 37.01, so about 7.24 per mile, first mile in 7.41, so picked it up after that.  I am still deciding on the marathon next weekend, probably a "no", but we will see.

Well, the way I see it, no matter what you do you will regret it, right? You could just run it for fun, you don't have anything to prove. Or you could just watch it for fun. Good luck.

Hey Ryan

I thought about what you wrote, and you are 100% right, either way I will regret it. I will run the race, thinking to myself, why am i doing this, and if I watch the race, I will be thinking, geez....i wish i was out there competing!!

Good Luck Ryan, it is time for you to break 3hrs!!! Cheers.
